Dermal filler Treatment

Dermal filler is a non-surgical, smooth consistency injectable gel that helps in restoring the skin’s volume and aids in smoothening of facial wrinkles.

As we grow older, the skin on our face begins to lose its elasticity and volume resulting in lines and hollowness on the face. It also gives the face a tired appearance. To counter this, dermal fillers are used to add volume to the affected areas.

Such injections are used to fill in deep depressions (like the tear trough hollow area below the eyes), static lines, skin folds and even scars. It is also routinely used for chin & lip enhancement and facial contouring

Fillers contain hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance found in all living organisms that hydrates the skin and adds volume to it as well. It also acts as a lubricant helping in reducing the skin’s damage.

Prior to injecting dermal fillers, a topical numbing cream is applied about 45 minutes before the procedure to reduce the likelihood of discomfort. Most dermal filler treatments take between 15 and 30 minutes and the results can be expected to last from anywhere between 1-2 years.
